Why did God hear Solomon???

In a word... HUMILITY!!!

And if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. “Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14–15

Prayer is the soul’s admission of insufficiency. It is the language of dependence. It is the heart’s cry for help. It reveals: What we think of God. What we think of ourselves. What we think of what God thinks of us. Who we are looking to. Who and what we are living for.

Prayer is the language of God.

This week as you READ and RESPOND to the Word, PRAY that the Spirit would reveal how these readings help you see that God wants our humility but never wants us to live in humiliation.
