There is a cost that comes with the Kingdom of God. Jesus paid ALL OF IT as it relates to our great salvation. But we are called to pay a price for following Jesus. What is it? Death to self SO THAT we might live for and in the glory of God.
And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. — Matthew 10:38–39

We gather to worship, be encouraged, and be equipped for the kingdom Jesus died to bring to earth.
"Come and see..." Jesus through Prayer, the Word, Communion, and Fellowship— the way Christ is meant to be seen in His church.
And bring someone new who needs to be part of this community.

We have much to learn from these oft ignored spokesmen of God.
We often say that 'things are getting interesting' in our time and culture. But things have been that way since the beginning— literally. All that we see around us, and within us, is kingdom-conflict.
This Sunday we finish up a section of Matthew and see how Jesus gives us the power to pay the kingdom cost. Our souls need to be reminded of these true words from our Savior.
