Engaging the culture with the Gospel

It seems like it is getting harder and harder to engage people with the gospel, but the truth is, it's never been easy, and it's always been a work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus's plan for bringing his eternal salvation to the world has been and continues to be through his people, life on life, face-to-face. That's what Cultural Apologetics is really about: How do we get better at engaging people where they are on their spiritual journey and lead them into a greater understanding of who Jesus is and all He has done for them and wants for their lives? This class will be fast-paced, as it is only 6 weeks long, and prayerfully interactive as we have a conversation about how to have better conversations. I know you will find it fruitful in your life in whatever spaces God has placed you. The attached PDF should give you a good sense of how we will spend our time together. There is no sign-up sheet per se, and this is open to people in and out of the CrossTrain family, but I'm trying to get a sense of how many people will be attending, so I can order enough materials. If you are planning on attending the class, some or all of those materials will be available on the Resource Table in the lobby this weekend. Please feel free to pick them up and put your name on the list so I know who took them. Class will meet at the building on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 till 8 pm on the following dates: September 29th October 6th October 13th October 20th November 3rd November 17th I would love to see you there and have your voice join in our discussion together. MUCH love! ~doug |
