I love the Advent Season. The word “Advent” comes from the Latin word adventus, which means “coming” or “arriving.” I love it because it reminds me of fulfilled promises. And because is sets my hopes on the promises to come as we look forward to Him coming again!
This year we begin advent Sunday, December 3rd and end on Christmas Eve at our Candlelight Service from 3:30–4:30pm.
Advent season is an invitation to take your mind off of the stresses of the year. It is a chance to focus our thoughts on the gift God has given us in His son Jesus who stepped down from Heaven and took the form of a man so that we might be born again and enter into glory for all eternity.
