D-Groups = Disciples on Mission

Updated: Sep 10, 2020

Come, follow Me and I will make you fishers of men... — Matthew 4:19

D-Groups — Discipleship Groups — and the Daily Readings begin today.

What are we reading this season?

The #1 key to being a disciple of Christ is daily engaging with the Word of God. This is because Jesus IS the Word. So when we are in it, we are WITH Him The D-Group Reading Plan for the months of September through November is attached. And you can find out more about reading and responding to the Word by going to the Distinctives Page of our website and reading about Getting Into the Word and getting the Word Into You. Get the In the Word Today Devotional

We give you are variety of ways to keep up with the Daily Readings as you read and respond to His Word. In addition to the PDF available in multiple ways, I send out a short daily devotional that corresponds to each day's reading. The whole reading is delivered right to your inbox. And it also models how simple reflecting and responding to the Word can be. You can sign up to receive it at the bottom of the Homepage to our website. Here is an example:

How do the D-Groups work?

The groups are forming relationally both in and out of the faith family we call Cornerstone. They can be in a variety of formats — weekly, bi-monthly, in person, on Zoom, in homes, at coffeeshops, hiking a mountain, making and sharing a meal together. They can be made up of a variety of people — men's/women's groups, couples, singles, mixed, families, your family, neighborhood, work-place, classmates. That is the beauty of this. If we are ALL reading the same passages the same week, the Holy Spirit can orchestrate conversation around it as only He can. You could be part of a men's group on a Tuesday morning and be discipling your family through it on a Thursday night with no added preparation needed. Because all you need for this groups is the Word of God, the Spirit of God and the people God is putting in your path.

Our Lord is coming back — perhaps soon. Until He returns He leaves us here to lead others to Him. But we cannot lead others in what it means to walk with Christ unless we are walking WITH Christ. Will you join us on this journey with Jesus?

I am BEYOND EXCITED to be on this journey WITH Jesus with you!

MUCH love!

Keep Looking UP! Luke 21:28
