Like a team working on the same plays in their playbook, or a kitchen of cooks prepping the same meal, when we are all reading, reflecting and responding to the same reading in the Word, we are prepping to play the game to win and feed people a wonderful meal.
What if we each made the commitment to take 15 minutes to do the daily readings? And then we reviewed what we read with others as the Holy Spirit sees fit?
We would be a TEAM on the same page preparing to win the game! We would make a meal that anyone would want to partake in.
Here are this week’s readings:
Daily Readings
Sunday’s Teaching — 1 Peter 5.1–7
Ephesians 4.11–24
Ezekiel 34.1–24
Matthew 20.20–28
1 Timothy 3.1–13, 4.7–16
Deuteronomy 8.1-20
James 4.1–12
Sunday’s Teaching — 1 Peter 5.8–14
Be sure you are getting the short In the Word Today devotional I write for each day's reading. The email gets sent out early each morning. The sign up form is on the bottom of the home page of our website. These not only share a little insight the Holy Spirit gave to me on how this reading connects to God's story, but they serve as a model of the READ - REFLECT - RESPOND format we want you to follow to make the most of our disciple making time.
I have also added a REVIEW Discussion Question for every day that will help start conversation about that day's reading.
Summer Small Groups are starting up the middle of June. Check the NEWS PAGE of our website to see what is being offered. And new offerings will be added as the summer moves along.
Keep looking UP! — Luke 21.28
