What is behind all the world’s problems?

Greeting CrossTrain family and welcome to our beautiful Phoenix summer! We’ve taken a bit of a break from our family scripture memorization to recharge, but we are now ready to begin the second half of our 26 bible verses we are using for family discussion and to memorize with our kiddos. Now that are hunkered down in the house to escape the heat we could think of no better time to get things back and running! We want to encourage everyone to seize the times we have in our families to read these verses, discuss what God is communicating through them, and to memorize the scripture so that it may be stored in us and overflow into our evangelism, daily conversations, and lives.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:23

Why this verse? This is a boiled down portion of everything we learned thus far. Because we’ve all sinned, we’ve all earned death because we’ve sinned against a holy and righteous God. Yet if we would receive the free gift of God, we may have eternal life; there is no second death for us. There is nothing that can happen in our world that can take this away from us and we must learn to cling to Jesus and His work, as nothing else will last. We all see pain, sickness, death and suffering in this world, particularly in these last two years and those around us who don’t know Christ are in desperate need of Him. As families, let’s look DAILY for opportunities to share this good news. May we remind everyone that we see death in this world because of sin, but Jesus has conquered sin and because of this, he offers us eternal life if we would turn to him in faith and repentance!

Questions Romans 6:23 can answer:

  1. Why do we see death, sickness, and suffering in the world?

  2. What do we earn from our sin?

  3. How can we have eternal life?

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who is putting in the effort to teach our little ones God’s word! This work is storing treasure in heaven and is the very work that is advancing the Kingdom of Christ. We pray for opportunities for us all to share this good news with our children and those we encounter this week and that the Holy Spirit would use the word to bring His sheep to life. Remember family, GOD SAVES SINNERS. He saves them by grace through faith, and this faith comes by hearing of the word! Go spread the word. Until next time, may God richly bless you by the grace and mercy won by Jesus Christ!

In Christ,
